REAR ENGINE COMPARTMENT VIEW
VIEW OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THIS IS THE LATER MODEL PZIII-N WITHOUT THE SIDE ESCAPE HATCHES AND WITH THE LARGE EXTERNAL EXHAUST SYSTEM. YOU CAN SEE THE OPEN COMMANDER AND TURRET SIDE HATCH ON IN THE PIC. WAS A LONG TIME TO FINISH BUT I THINK IT CAME OUT PRETTY NICE. |
TO RIGHT: WORKIN ON THE TURRET!
ALMOST COMPLETE UPPER HULL. ADDED THE SPACED ARMOR AND SUPPORTS ON THE HULL FRONT. BASIC TURRET NOW DONE EXCEPT FOR MANTLET AND STORAGE BOX AND ALOT OF TINY LITTLE DETAILS (AARRRAAGGHHH!) THAT NEED TO BE DONE. TURRET HATCHES ALL OPEN AND WILL HAVE INSIDE DETAIL. TURRET TURNS (NEED TO LOSEN IT UP A BIT STILL). WORKING ON THE MANTLET AND 75MM/L24 GUN NOW. SITTING ON MY SELDOM-USED-TO-HAVE-DINNER-AT- KITCHEN-TABLE...!!

TO RIGHT: 1/6TH (scaled down) LCI LANDING CRAFT SUPERSTRUCTURE
TO THE RIGHT IS A 1/6TH SUPERSTRUCTURE FOR A 1/6TH LCI LANDING CRAFT I AM BUILDING FROM STYRENE. THE ENTIRE CRAFT WILL BE 8 FEET LONG (SMALLER THAN A REAL SCALE ONE THAT WOULD BE ABOUT 14 FEET OR SO BUT I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO MOVE IT AROUND! LOL!). WILL BREAK DOWN INTO 3 PARTS TO TRANSPORT.
